Singapore may not be known for its icy climate, but it offers two fantastic ice skating rinks where you can glide on the ice and have a great time with your kids. Both rinks are kid-friendly and offer ice skating lessons for those who want to improve their skills. Read on to discover more about these ice skating destinations in Singapore!

The Rink: Singapore’s First Olympic-sized Skating Rink

At The Rink, located in Jcube, skaters aged 3 and above can enjoy Singapore’s first Olympic-sized skating rink. This venue offers recreational skating and hosts exciting events such as disco nights and skating competitions.

If your little ones need assistance, The Rink provides skating aids for children up to 12 years old. Additionally, skate boots are available for rent for both kids and adults.

Please note that the opening hours at The Rink vary due to the National Skating Association’s training schedules. To plan your visit, check The Rink’s public skating sessions calendar for available times. The Rink also offers Learn-to-Skate and Learn-to-Curl classes for interested kids, with prices starting from $171.

Ice skating prices at The Rink:

  • Admission only: $12 (children) & $14 (adults)
  • Admission with skate boot rentals: $16 (children) & $18 (adults)
  • Penguin ice skating aids: $11 for two hours (children below 1.2m in height)
  • Snowman ice skating aids: $11 for two hours (children aged 10 and above)
  • Seal ice skating aids: $15 for two hours (children above 10 years and adults, designed for two persons)
  • Ice skating equipment rental: $2 per pair of socks or gloves; $4 per pair of skate boots for two hours; $5 per two hours for helmets; $20 per pair for skate sharpening services.

Kallang Ice World (Kallang Leisure Park): The Standard in Ice Skating

Kallang Ice World, situated in Kallang Leisure Park, is an ice skating rink that meets competition standards. Alongside leisure ice skating, this venue offers a variety of ice skating courses suitable for beginners and advanced skaters alike. Whether you’re looking for basic training or want to take your skills to the next level, Kallang Ice World has the right course for you.

Additionally, you can even book the ice skating rink for a private birthday party or any other special occasion. The rink operates seven days a week, ensuring you have ample opportunities to hit the ice.

Ice skating prices at Kallang Ice World:

  • Admission only: $16 for two hours (kids aged 5-12); $18 for two hours (adults); $7.20 for student tickets (available on a first-come, first-served basis)
  • Admission with ice skate rentals: Admission prices include rentals
  • Ice skating aids: Available for free on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Extra ice skating equipment rental: You may bring your own gloves and helmet if preferred.
