Employees covered by the Employment Act are entitled to 11 paid public holidays, and mutual agreements can be made to swap holidays for working days. If you find yourself working on a public holiday, fear not! You’re entitled to an extra day’s salary, in addition to your regular pay for that day.

Employers also have some flexibility. They can offer time-off-in-lieu for specific categories of employees, ensuring a fair balance between work and well-deserved compensation.
