What Went Down At Cardi B & Nicki Minaj's NYFW Brawl?
WTF happened last weekend?
So last Friday during the New York Fashion Week, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B got into an actual fight at the Harper's Bazaar Icons party. Here's what you need to know about the instantly iconic NYFW Fight 2018.
What exactly happened? The "Bodak Yellow" singer approached Minaj, who allegedly made a comment about Cardi's baby, Kulture Kiari. People connected to Cardi also told TMZ that the singer was not looking for a fight, but that things escalated when she got elbowed in the face by Minaj's security.
Cardi ended up throwing a shoe at Minaj, who didn't even flinch. Cardi ended up being escorted out of the event by security. She also left with only one shoe, a torn dress, and pieces of her hair extensions missing.

For over a year, people have been speculating about a possible feud between Minaj and Cardi. Do they or don't they have beef?
The two have said multiple times that they don't have a feud. Just last April, Cardi said, "I just feel like it's really internet made-up. I really feel like fans and people really want to see that happen because it's really entertaining. To see people beef is entertaining.”
But it looks like there was truth behind all those rumours.
The night of the NYFW fight 2018, the "I Like It" rapper published a statement on Instagram, writing:
"I've let a lot of sh*t slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f*ck up the way I eat! You've threatened other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you'll stop f*ckin with them!! I let you talk big sh*t about me!!
"I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!!
"But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f*ckin off!! I've worked too hard and come too far to let anybody f*ck with my success!!!! Bitches talk all that sh*t in they raps but in real life they pussy!! This sh*t really is for entertainment!!"
On her radio show Queen, Minaj spoke out about the fight, saying that she was embarrassed to be part of a scandal in such a glamorous party.
"The other night, I was part of something so mortifying and so humiliating to go through in front of a bunch of upper echelon people," she said on her show. "I will never forget it. I was mortified."
She also explained why she didn't fight back: "I'm such an ill ass bitch I didn't feel the need to defend myself that night."
Minaj also denied making comments about Cardi's baby, saying, "I would never discuss anyone's child. I don't care about anyone's parenting. I don't give a sh*t. I just want to let the world know that Onika Tanya Maraj [Minaj's real name] would never, has never, and will never speak ill of anyone's child. I am not a clown."
This altercation between Cardi B and Minaj is a perfect illustration of what to do (and what not to do) when in conflict with another woman. Was Minaj in the wrong for dissing Cardi and her parenting skills? We don't know.
But by keeping her cool and not engaging, she came out of the altercation with both shoes on her feet and her weave intact. So she's easily the winner here. When you've got beef with someone, by all means, confront them — but not with your fists. It might seem more satisfying, but you might just end up hobbling home on one heel.
