1. Take care of yourself
You have one child wailing and hanging on to your skirt as you work at a manic speed to get your other child's school lunch-box ready. How on earth can any sane person expect you to look good on top of all that? It's difficult, we know, but with a little bit of effort it can be done.
A little bit of lip gloss, a quick spray of that perfume that drives him wild, cute shorts and that top he loves...he won't be able to take his eyes off you! But it's not all just about about looking good for him. We promise you that if you take a bit of time with your appearance, when you look in the mirror, you'll feel great too.
2. Flirt
Don't forget the flirty little things that you can do even when the kids are home: little strokes, kisses, touches and squeezes. These small, but intimate gestures don't take a lot of time and effort but they are the things that you will notice couples in love doing.
They help keep the connection, which in turn will minimize the risk of him straying. They will also take you back to the days when you were young and kid-free and couldn't keep your hands off each other!
3. Have a date night
Sometimes, couples need a break from routine to re-ignite that special spark. If you don't have a trusted helper, hire a baby sitter or ask your parents to look after the kids for 1 night a month.
This is your chance to spend some quality time with your husband. A romantic dinner, bar hopping, or just hanging out in the car (remember when that was the cheapest option!) ...you pick what you want to do. Sometimes, quality time together is just what most couples need to rekindle the fire in their relationship and avert wandering eyes.
4. Show appreciation
Sometimes, men cheat because they think their partner doesn't appreciate them enough. So it's easy for them to get the appreciation they crave for from another woman.
Most men love getting compliments (don't we all!)...so compliment him sincerely. If he looks good in his shirt, say so. Show your appreciation in actions too through kissing, hugging and little ways of your own.
5. Loosen up
Men are strange creatures (they think the same of us!), he says he doesn’t see you enough then he says he doesn’t have space!
Let him have a guy’s night out, or in. If there is a big football showing, let him know that he and his friends are welcome to come over to your place to watch it. Make a couple of snacks, nachos or pigs in blankets and stock up on beers or soft drinks. He’ll feel like you understand him and acknowledge the things he enjoys doing. You should use this time to sneak off and read a book or just kick your feet up too!
