So, Joanne Peh is 37 weeks pregnant, and has finished packing her hospital bag!

This mummy is all geared up for her big day, and as she writes on Instagram, wants to be prepared “in case baby decides to come early.”

Her hospital bag contains, “baby’s clothes, nursing bras, underwear, nursing pads, maternity towels and a toy for my daughter from her newborn sibling.”

However, she feels that the most important items in her hospital bag are, “the cord blood and cord lining collection kits because my gynae will need these during delivery! She has encouraged me to store my baby’s cord blood and cord lining because baby’s own stem cells can be used to treat many blood and immune-related conditions.”

Couple of weeks more to delivery and I thought I had better get my hospital bag packed first, just in case my husband can’t make it back on time and baby decides to come early. Based on my previous experience, I am a little more certain about what I need to bring (although most of these things could be brought from home much later by family members)– baby’s clothes, nursing bras, underwear, nursing pads, maternity towels and a toy for my daughter from her newborn sibling. But most importantly would be the cord blood and cord lining collection kits because my gynae will need these during delivery! She has encouraged me to store my baby’s cord blood and cord lining because baby’s own stem cells can be used to treat many blood and immune-related conditions. Although we never hope for that to happen, I guess as parents, we always want to be prepared. #hospitalbagessentials #readyforbabyqinumbertwo #cordlifesingapore #cordbloodbanking #37weekspregnant #dueanytime
