This Singapore dad writes a moving letter to his daughters and we are melting!

Read this Singapore dad's touching letter to his daughters...Let's all cherish the time spent with our loved ones!

Constantly living in the present has brought about many realisations and some of these can be gratifying.

I used to think that you will always remain about the same height as your toy kitchen set, but today when I carried you in my arms and crossed the muddy pathway, I realised you have already grown so much. We used to have the same level of eye contact but now, papa needs to look up in order to hold a conversation.

Very happy that I can send you girls to school almost everyday now. I like the feeling of holding your little hands and the sweet exchanges we have during the journey.

Sometimes, you prefer to walk in front of me and I just look at your back, smiling. It brings back happy memories of you learning to walk and Papa watching eagerly and encouraging you from behind.

As we enjoy these morning journeys together, you will slowly but surely realise that Papa is trailing behind you at one point of time, drifting further apart as days pass by. Not that Papa has slowed down, it is just that your legs have grown longer and stronger and hence the distance between us has widened.

I do not know where you are heading to in life but Papa will always stand behind and support you. I know you have to go where you belong. I will reminisce these memories in time to come…

Today, when you were sound asleep, Papa gently hugged you and felt your pulsating heartbeats. It felt just like yesterday when I left my palm over your little bodies to create the calming effect you needed to sleep peacefully as babies, but now my palm is only good to hold your hands.

I looked around and saw you girls and Mama sleeping so sweetly and soundly. Papa smiled and teared. Tears of happiness must be, simply because I realised I still have all of you by my side. One day, you will realise that our time together as a family is a treasure Papa holds close to his heart.

You are the reason why I do not own a watch simply because watching you girls grow up will always be my best reference on the passing of time. *Tearing*

Papa loves you.
