Sentosa comes alive this March and April!

With a big emphasis on playing and learning this year, Sentosa has much in store for you and your family this March.

Fun-filled learning just got better
The most common refrain when describing Sentosa, is that it is full of entertainment and that you will never get bored on the island! We could not agree more especially with their amazing line-up this March and April.

The months of March and April promise to be a celebration of music, play and learning and to culminate that celebration, Sentosa presents its first ever Ukulele Groove.

Let’s celebrate the Ukulele

Ukulele Groove

Those interested in all things music and entertainment, you will be pleased to know that Sentosa is celebrating the ubiquitous and wildly popular ukulele in its first ever Ukulele Groove at Beach Plaza on 29 March 2013.

Fans and family can look forward to a range of performances and activities throughout the day. Host Mervyn Goh, a Ukulele aficionado himself will set the ball rolling with a solo performance that will have fans, big and small, singing along.

Bringing a treasure trove of information on the small wonder that is the ukulele, Mervyn will be entertaining the crowd with little trivia and fun facts about the musical instrument and also pose some riddles and questions that might win you prizes!

Move to the Ukulele groove
Electrifying home-grown four piece band, UkesAvenue will be performing an eclectic range of music that span multiple genres. Expect to be tapping your feet and swaying to the sweet tunes of the ukulele during their sessions. You could also get a chance to come on stage and get your groove on the ukulele with help from the band!

The event will also feature Polkadot+Moonbeam – a vocal and instrumental duo made up of award-winning singer-songwriter Juliet Pang (vocals, ukulele) and Sydneysider Didi Mudigdo (vocals, acoustic bass). The pair has performed in well-acclaimed shows at jazz venues and festivals in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia and is delighted to thrill the audience with their unique and harmonious blend of jazz and acoustics.

As a special treat, their performances will feature veteran musician, Mario Serio on bass and together they will charm you with their soulful tunes and wicked ukulele strumming.

It’s not all about the special activities lined up that keep people coming back though. It’s the world-class attractions around the island that offers something for every member of the family, big and small as well as adrenaline junkie or sun-worshipper.
