'Sexiest dad alive' Ryan Reynolds reveals strong suit: 'I always do the dirty work'

"I'm happy to do the dirty work."

Hollywood’s frontrunner for Dad of the Year is Ryan Reynolds, who not only takes charge of messy daddy chores but also enjoys them!

Fresh off of the massive success of his movie Deadpool, in which he stars as the comedic anti-superhero everybody has come to love, he stopped by TODAY to give an update on fatherhood.

“My strong suit, I would say, is I always do the dirty work,” said Ryan.

“I’m happy to do the dirty work,” he affirmed. “So does Blake, but I love getting up in the middle of the night. I’m fine with that!”

Actress Blake Lively gave birth to James, whom Ryan has taken to calling ‘Shrimpie’, a little over a year ago, and they have fallen head over heels in love with parenting.

“Having a daughter was a dream come true,” he told PEOPLE, who dubbed him the ‘Sexiest Dad Alive’.

“I don’t have to prepare to be wrapped around my daughter’s finger,” Ryan told the magazine. “I have been wrapped around her little finger since the day she plopped out into this world.”

It’s a been a joy for fans to track the development of his firstborn through his entertaining interviews like the time he dropped by Jimmy Fallon a year ago and revealed she was “allergic to sleep”, or when he came back to the same show six months later and shared that James has taken to calling him ‘mama’.

Also, when his Super Bowl 50 ad for Hyundai (in which he played all 12 roles) aired, James sat up and took notice. But he didn’t think she grasped just yet that her dad was a celebrity.

“She totally recognized me,” he told TODAY. “There was like 12 of me. Which is just like to her, just like 24 useless boobs. She was so not impressed.”
