Students from St. Anthony’s Cannosian Secondary School took part in a social responsibility project organized by LEGO, Capitaland and MediaCorp. “We are One” is a social initiative that aims to raise S$ 1,000,000 for the poor and needy.

Channel News Asia reports that the students made a donation of 970 pieces of LEGO bricks which was equivalent to about S$2,000. Involving kids in projects such as this, is a wonderful way to raise their awareness of social issues.

Instilling values in them such as solidarity, generosity and compassion need not be a complicated process. All the students had to do in order to participate in the “We Are One” project was to contribute pieces of LEGO bricks.

What other simple things  we can do to increase our kids’ sense of social responsibility?
