What is happening with your baby?

Your baby’s eyes will have colour by this time but they are not fixed and may change within the next six months. Around this time, he will be receiving antibodies through the placenta as his immune system is still rather weak. The antibodies will be received via your colostrum with milk when he is born.

 

 What to eat during your ninth month of pregnancy?

Foods that have high fiber content like whole-grain breads, cereals, fruits, dates and vegetables.
Foods that are rich in iron such as chicken, fish, broccoli, spinach, peas, lentils, soybeans, berries, dried fruits including prunes, grapes, oranges and apples.
Foods that are rich in calcium like dairy products, collard greens, almonds, oatmeal and sesame seeds.
Foods that have a high vitamin C content like citrus fruits, strawberries, tomatoes, cauliflower and broccoli.
Foods that have a high folic acid content like green leafy vegetables, legumes.
Foods that have a high vitamin A content like carrots, sweet potato, spinach and cantaloupe.
