About the class

Aerial yoga is a combination of yoga and aerial acrobatics. Kids will love the totally unique sensation of maneuvering in the air while swinging in a hammock attached to the ceiling. These hammocks are attached at two overhead points. The instructors will take the kids through a series of movements that make use of a combination of gravity and the body’s tension against the hammock.

Parents can rest assured that the highly-trained instructors at Trium Fitness will maintain a safe and fun environment throughout the workshop while assisting students with their form and movements. The young yogis-to-be will learn about the importance of going through stretching and cooling down routines at the beginning and end of each session.

Introducing healthy exercise habits from a young age

Over the course of the three-day workshop, kids will learn three ways to move in the Aerial Silk Hammock. While they are on the ground, the focus will be interactive games and in the air, the kids will explore moves to mimic Spiderman, Superman and being a chrysalis.

For the Kids Aerial Yoga Workshop, the kids will be learning three ways to move in the Aerial Silk Hammock, from the ground, in the air as well as when they are in the fabric. Essentially, they will be exploring the way they move in 3D motion. On the ground, they will engage in interactive games. In the air, the kids will be exploring moves to mimic Spiderman, Superman, and baby butterfly.

There is a myriad of benefits for increasing your child’s physical activity through these workshops including increased flexibility, strength and stamina. There are psychological benefits as well; children who spend more time being active also have improved self-confidence and concentration.

The studio conveniently provides yoga mats, full shower facilities and even an area for relaxing and enjoying some post-yoga refreshments.
