Grammy award-winning singer gives birth to her first son!
Less than a week after the world saw her epic American Idol finale performance, Kelly Clarkson has given birth to her second child
Back in October 2015, the Grammy award winning singer/songwriter revealed that she was expecting her second child via a cute Instagram photo of her daughter River Rose with the caption: “In other news, River’s gonna have a little baby brother 🙂 #itsaboy We’re so excited!”

She also confirmed this earlier on during one of her concerts at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.
“I was not planning on announcing this, but I’m pregnant,” she told the audience. “Totally pregnant!”
And on Tuesday, April 12, she and husband Brandon Blackenstock welcomed their first son: Remington Alexander.
The singer broke the happy news to her 10.8 million followers on Twitter two days later.
Our little baby boy has arrived!! Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn’t be happier or more in love! — Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) April 14, 2016
Just five days before giving birth, at the much anticipated “American Idol” finale, Ryan Seacrest reportedly told fans that Kelly was going to give birth really soon.
Kelly delivered an awesome medley of her greatest hits, which was pre-taped, since she wouldn’t be able to perform live. As expected, the first ever American Idol winner did not disappoint and delivered one of the highlights of the 15-year long show’s final episode.
Kelly and Brandon tied the knot three years ago at Tennessee’s Blackberry Farms. They welcomed their first child, River Rose, in June 2014.
But it’s not just River Rose who’s excited to welcome a sibling! Brandon has two children from a previous marriage: Savannah and Seth.
Congratulations to the happily growing family!
