3 Freebies for Singapore babies born from 2016 onwards!

Mums and dads, are you aware of these freebies for Singaporean babies born from 2016 onwards? Check out what you can avail of!

Mummies and daddies, we are all well aware of the rising costs of raising a child in Singapore. So, it surely comes as a relief that Singapore parents with babies born from 2016 onwards can avail of these freebies:

S$100 FairPrice kit

According to Today, parents of Singapore citizen babies born between January 2016 and December 2019 can receive S$100 worth of groceries and baby products from NTUC FairPrice.

The FairPrice FairMily kit includes diapers, milk powder (for babies above six months old), grocery essentials, and an exclusive FairPrice Online deal. The kit’s contents may vary over time. Currently, it contains baby products like wipes and lotion, and groceries such as tissue and oats.

Parents can sign up at www.ntucgoodstart.sg. A redemption card will be mailed to their home address after sign up, which they can use at 16 FairPrice outlets across the island, such as at Bedok Mall, NEX and Jurong Point shopping centres, to redeem their gift.

The collection, however, can only be done after the baby turns 6 months old.

Gift sets from PA

People's Association (PA) has just launched a new community initiative, Embracing PArenthood Movement, to celebrate the birth of new Singaporean babies within the community. Neighbourhoods across Singapore will hold their own celebrations to engage families with new-borns within the community.

3 Freebies for Singapore babies born from 2016 onwards!

The NTUC Good Start Bundle (comprising the FairPrice FairMily kit and complementary Income insurance coverage for babies) will be given out as a small gift to new parents to support them on their parenthood journey. Invited families will also be presented with a commemorative “PAssion Baby” Card, personalised with a family photo, as well as a specially curated Play.Bond.Grow Gift Set worth $50 from PA.

According to The Straits Times, the gift sets for Singaporean babies aged 6 to 24 months will have three items:

•An "educational item" that encourages parents to spend time with their babies and help them learn through play activities.

•An "interactive item" that encourages parents to bond and communicate with kids.

•A "memorabilia item" that represents the journey and growth of a family.

To find out how you can attend the Embracing PArenthood Movement event, you can write in directly to [email protected].

1-year Free health insurance coverage by NTUC Income

As part of the NTUC Good Start Bundle launched in April, if your baby is born between 2016 and 2019, and is a Singapore Citizen, Income will cover one year’s premium of his or her additional private insurance coverage component in Enhanced IncomeShield or IncomeShield Standard Plan main plan.
