Singapore Family Breaks Into Cool Moves To Celebrate Dad's End of Stay Home Notice

His wife cheered on the hardest.

As we move halfway through week two of the "circuit breaker" implementation, some of us are already feeling the heat from staying at home—from experiencing boredom to missing the physical interaction with friends and other loved ones, just to name a few.

With that, we can only imagine how it feels like to be issued a quarantine or Stay Home Notice (SHN) where leaving one's own house is strictly not allowed, not even to get food and essential items. Besides that, he/she would also have to minimise contact with family members by isolation in a separate room.

So when Singapore dad, Saravana Moorthy, completed his SHN of 14 days and could finally be with his family, it was definitely a cause for celebration for everyone.

End of Stay Home Notice: Dance-off Outside Flat as Celebration

To mark the special occasion, the family came up with a fun idea to welcome their dad back.

And they totally winged it with their infectious family spirit, together with their three young kids in a power dance, shared by wife Subashini Elansezhiyan, who posted the video on Facebook.

A flower garland was hung over their dad's neck as they clapped and danced along to upbeat tunes. Throwing confetti was also part of the mix.

According to Subashini, the set-up was inspired by a scene from Tamil movie, Maari.

No doubt, Subashini was the ultimate supporter as she grooved along to the moves enthusiastically.

Facebook user Grace Crispus even commented that she "stole the show", being the "more excited" one.

If not for social distancing, Subashini said that their neighbours would have joined them in the celebration.

A Facebook user, Kummaresan MK also thinks of it as a good idea after serving his quarantine notice: "I deserve this after my QO".

With her husband now back working from home, Subashini said: "now he can take over my marketing".

Looks like it's time to return back to dad/husband duties after the end of stay home notice. But who's complaining?
