Mums and dads, do you wish you were more involved in the upbringing of your kids? Is the lack of time with them an obstacle you face? If so, then this will be a good opportunity for the both of you! 

The Science Centre Singapore (SCS) is bringing to you KidsSTOP™ ‘s One Kind of Science Musical, in collaboration with the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM). Your kids will get to follow loveable KidsSTOP™ mascots – Jo, Max, Pepper, Win, Belle – and the SKM mascots – Singa and the Kindness Cubbies – on an outdoor adventure of a lifetime.

Your little ones will learn about life’s most important values through the illustration of kindness through creative drama and play — and its positive impact on mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. Children’s Day 2018 In Singapore: Octoburst! @ The Esplanade, Esplanade’s annual Children’s festival.

It’s here! Esplanade’s annual Children’s festival, Octoburst! — designed and curated specially for the young (and the young at heart) — is coming to you once again. 

Across three fun-filled days, from 5 – 7 October 2018, your kids will experience the joys of self-expression, and learn to explore all corners of their imagination with an open mind. They will revel in a wide range of performances, participate in activities, workshops and more!

Children’s Day 2018 In Singapore: Some exciting performances and programmes as part of Octoburst! @ Esplanade.

In its 16th edition this year, and also for the first time in Octoburst!, a children’s parade will be taking place. Be part of a display of puppetry, music and performance and parade down the Esplanade Waterfront with family, friends and strangers from all walks of life.

3. Junior & Me™ Fun Race

As parents, we are always on the lookout to create experiences with our children. Likewise, kids spell love as time so being able to spend time and form memories with you is something they always look forward to!

Junior & Me™ Fun Race is a non-competitive, six-stations obstacle challenge race. It involves a team of a parent or adult and a child (18 months to 6 years old). 

From cute challenges such as Zigzag piggy back dash to koala squats, it’s going to be a fun ride! Besides, all challenge stations will have a certified instructor to guide both you and your child. 

As the race is limited to 150 participating teams per day, gear up because it’s happening very soon!

Junior & Me™ Fun Race

For who: Parent / adult and child (18 months to 6 years old)

When: 6 & 7 October 2018

Where: KidZania Singapore, Palawan Kidz City, 31 Beach Walk, #01-01/02, 098008

4. Music Festival by Pat’s Schoolhouse

1… 2… 3… Dance with me. 4… 5… 6… make a remix! 

Drop a beat and celebrate Pat’s Schoolhouse’s 30th Anniversary at their Children’s Music Festival. Yes, it’s time to experience a day as a Pat’s student, filled with songs, dances and loads of play, specially curated by the Pat’s team!

At Pat’s Schoolhouse, the teachers believe that music is key to developing a child’s emotional, social, and motor skills. Through this festival, they aim to creatively demonstrate how they infuse music into everyday classroom curriculum and learning!  

Join them for a day of musical extravaganza and enjoy fringe activities such as face-painting, balloon sculpting, a photo booth to take funny family shots and many more! They also conduct delightful workshops at prices of just up to $5, a pretty fair sum isn’t it?

5. Fight The Deadliest Monster

It’s time to fight for wildlife. This October, kids get to enter Jurong Bird Park, River Safari and Singapore Zoo for free*!

YES, you heard it right. Specially for local residents, it’s free to enter the Jurong Bird Park, River Safari and Singapore Zoo from 1st to 31st October 2018. Well, we can’t be sure if you did perk up (yes, pun was intended) at this offering, but we’re sure your little ones would be excited for the activities that is to come!

Wildlife Reserves Singapore is bringing to you and your kids “Fight The Deadliest Monster”. Come and learn how to be an eco-ranger and fight the Deadliest Monsters with them in a series of activities!

Children’s Day 2018 In Singapore: Plastic waste is the deadliest monster and a threat to wildlife. Your kids will be heroes and come to the rescue!

Some Highlights

Demonstration by Animal Ambassadors a.k.a Animal Stars 

Don’t miss out on showtimes where you will get up and close with the wildlife ambassadors — who happen to be the animals themselves as well. Watch out for Ippy the Macaw, Luke the Pelican and Philipp & Pedro the Sealions who will demonstrate how to combat the “Deadliest Monster” with sustainable practices.

Fight the Deadliest Monster Booth

Get up close with animals that are affected by the impact of plastic pollution. Friendly volunteers at the mobile booths will guide you on fun activities and you might get a chance to bring home a “Little Otter, Litter Trouble” book*.

Fight the Deadliest Monster Trail (Self-Guided)

Little defenders who complete the trail will be presented with a delightful “Little Otter, Litter Trouble” book*. More importantly, your kids will get to learn and pledge how they can help fight plastic pollution. 

Meet the Lovable Animal Mascots

Look out for your favourite wildlife mascots and you might even score insta-worthy shots with them!
