A healthy dose of veggies
If you wish to introduce your kids to plantation and nature, you don't have to go all the way to Australia.
Right in our own backyard is a farm that supplies home-grown, organic vegetables – Bollywood Veggies.
Mainly a farm which grows organic fresh-produce, Bollywood veggies is situated amidst the rustic splendor of the Kranji countryside.
In addition to being a great introduction for kids to farms, you can buy the organically grown vegetables, pots of herbs and medicinal plants, have a lovely meal at the Bistro, fish at their pond or just stroll about on the farm.
Bollywood Veggies specialise in fruit vegetables such as ladies fingers, long beans, cucumbers, bitter gourds, and is the largest producer of bananas and papayas in Singapore. They also grow uncommon medicinal trees and herbs, as well as lotus roots.
They also claim to produce the spiciest chilli padi on the island!
Be sure to try their ever-popular House Banana Bread and participate in an array of the farm’s activities – like scarecrow building, pancake-making challenge, Bollywood farm scrabble and many more!
