This June, a group of 19-year-olds are proving that youth is no barrier to real change. Meet the team behind Project Meraki, a youth-led initiative created with a single mission: to spark meaningful impact through creativity, compassion and community.
Their debut event, Beyond the Price Tag, is a two-day charity flea market happening at SCAPE Singapore, Level 4 Sky Terrace, on 21 and 22 June 2025, from 12 pm to 8 pm. The goal? To raise $7,000 in support of Beyond Social Services, a local organisation that uplifts children and youth from low-income families.

What is Beyond the Price Tag?
Beyond the Price Tag is not your average flea market. Organised entirely by youths, the event brings together over 50 small local vendors — from young artists to eco-conscious sellers — to raise funds and awareness for Beyond Social Services.
All proceeds go directly to Beyond’s work supporting families and youth living in rental flat communities. In fact, this flea market is part of a wider campaign by Project Meraki to raise over $30,000 for the organisation through three flagship events happening throughout the year.
What Visitors Can Expect?
-
More than 50 booths selling pre-loved fashion, handmade crafts, and eco-conscious products
-
Free booths for underrepresented youth creators and community artists
-
A dedicated outreach booth to learn about Beyond’s long-term social impact
-
A vibrant atmosphere designed to attract over 500 young attendees
Held at a spacious 7,900 square foot rooftop terrace at SCAPE, the event aims to create a platform where sustainability, social responsibility and youth empowerment intersect.
Why Families Should Attend
Beyond the Price Tag is more than a weekend flea market — it is a meaningful chance to show your children what compassion and action look like in everyday life. From meeting young creators to discovering sustainable finds, the event is designed to inspire the next generation to think about how their choices — and their voices — can make a difference.
By bringing your children along, you can open up conversations about giving, empathy, and the importance of supporting others in the community. It is also a chance for parents to support youth-led initiatives and help cultivate values that go beyond the classroom.
Support Youth Changemakers in Singapore
Whether you are a parent, student or simply someone who wants to support a good cause, Beyond the Price Tag is a weekend well spent. Support local youth, discover meaningful buys, and take part in building a more inclusive, compassionate Singapore.
