Appeal For Baby Essentials Donations For Pregnant Wife Of Bangladeshi Worker Critically Ill Due To COVID-19

His wife is currently 8 months pregnant and is in need of help.

A community initiative for migrant workers in Singapore, Itsrainingraincoats, is appealing for donations of baby essentials for the wife of a Bangladeshi migrant worker in Singapore who became critically ill and warded in the hospital after contracting COVID-19.

The 39-year-old worker identified only as Case 42, had been admitted for COVID-19 around Feb 9. He is among four other Bangladeshi workers who were tested positive of the virus, linked to a cluster in a Seletar Worksite.

Contained in the ICU for weeks now, the community has since reached out to his wife who is now 8 months pregnant in hopes to offer some relief.

Collection of Only *NEW* Baby Items

The community group is appealing for donations, specifically baby essentials that are in new condition. New items never used before and have only been washed will also be accepted.

These are the items needed:

  • Baby clothes for boy (newborn to 1 year),
  • baby bottles,
  • bibs and baby towels,
  • baby toys (newborn and up to 1 year)
  • baby diapers – cloth diapers will also be accepted
  • milk powder of any brand
