7 things your mother-in-law won’t say to you

29 Jul, 2013
1. Thank you

1. Thank you

Your mother-in-law will never outright say thank you to you for keeping her child happy. She will only observe quietly from the sidelines and watch your actions. Her way of saying thank you would be not to bombard you with never ending suggestions or sarcastic comments.
2. You are beautiful

2. You are beautiful

Have you ever heard your mother-in-law say that her grand kids are beautiful? If she says this often, she really means that you are beautiful and that’s why your kids are too. Unfortunately, this is one of those things your mother-in-law won’t be saying directly to you.
3. I wish you\'d trust my advice

3. I wish you\'d trust my advice

Is your mother-in-law always giving you advice albeit unwanted? One of the things your mother-in-law won’t say about herself is that she is nagging. She just wants you to come to your senses and trust her for once. She may come off as annoying but she just wants what’s best for you and her child. One of these days, follow her advice. After that, she’ll be more pleasant around you.
4. Talk to me please

4. Talk to me please

Your mother-in-law probably won’t say that she just wants to talk to you. She doesn’t want to appear pitiful so she won’t say a word. The next time she comes around, you should strike up a conversation of a neutral topic. You might just learn to like her.
5. Why won’t you like me?

5. Why won’t you like me?

It may be hard to believe but this question is one of the things your mother-in-law won’t say. She doesn’t want to fight anymore but you still tend to misinterpret all her actions. The next time she comes to visit, make the effort to talk to her sincerely.
6. I’m just visiting the family

6. I’m just visiting the family

One of the things your mother-in-law won’t say to you is the reason for her surprise visit. It may seem that she’s out to get you and catch the house unkempt, but she just really wants to see the rest of the family. The next time she knocks on the door, just welcome her with open arms without any questions.
7. I appreciate all you’ve done

7. I appreciate all you’ve done

She may seem ungrateful at times but this is just one of the things your mother-in-law won’t say to you. She secretly appreciates all you’ve done to your family and also to her.
