When Andy's mother, Maribel Martinez, went to pick up her son, she was horrified to see that the boy that was on the flight wasn't her son.

Andy Martinez, a 5 year old boy traveling alone from Santiago, Dominican Republic was mistakenly sent to the wrong flight home by JetBlue. The flight should have brought Andy to New York, but instead he was sent to Boston, which was over 300km away.

When Andy's mother, Maribel Martinez, went to pick up her son, she was horrified to see that the boy that was on the flight wasn't her son. As it turns out, there had been a mix up with another unaccompanied child that's the same age as her son. The boy even had Andy's passport with him. JetBlue immediately took steps to make sure that the children reached their destinations as soon as they found out about the incident.

JetBlue reassured the families that in spite of the mix-up, the children were under constant care and supervision by JetBlue crew members and that they have also refunded the flights for both of the families and they will be providing credit for future JetBlue flights.

Martinez on the other hand responded that while she was indeed given credit by JetBlue, she has yet to receive an apology. Her legal counsel also said that they will be exploring the possibility of a lawsuit.
