5 reasons why husbands shouldn't be carrying handbags? Well, they do!
1. Less of a man
For some men, carrying a handbag screams 'henpecked husband'. The common notion is if you're carrying a woman's handbag, you're 'soft', or 'whipped'.
Also to some, the idea of masculinity has been feminised immensely throughout the ages but this latest trend, they believed, is taking it too far.
2. To be, or not to be.. a gentleman.
Opening the door for a lady is highly regarded as chivalry. Pulling a chair out for a woman is also chivalrous. But carrying your wife's handbag unfortunately is not..? Again, it's seen as 'soft'.
3. Designed for ladies
Most men think handbags were designed with women in mind, which implies that a woman should be the one carrying the purse.
4. Mistaken for a homosexual?
Simply put, people might mistake you for a homosexual! Though you'd have to really look the part to be mistaken for one, don't you think so?
5. Help not necessary
Helping your wife carry the heavy groceries is helpful. But unless there are rocks in the missus' handbag, men reckoned their wives don't need help.
