1. Pickles and ketchup
Actress Natalie Portman craved for pickles and ketchup when she was pregnant. She could have them for every meal, every day of the week. Try it out. If she liked it, you might like it too.
The great thing is this odd craving is low in calories, easy to get and inexpensive.

2. Guacamole with pumpkin ice cream
Some women craved for guacamole mixed with pumpkin ice-cream. A mother enjoys eating that ‘dessert’ every time she’s home after work.

3. Petrol
Some pregnant women look forward to pumping petrol not because they like to, but it’s the smell that they’re craving for. This is believed to be harmful to both mother and baby as there are many complex chemicals in gasoline and a developing fetus may not be able to protect itself against the complex chemicals.

4. Fruit punch with milk
Find that very appetizing? Don’t worry we won’t judge. Besides, mixing fruit punch with milk could be the least weirdest craving on this list.

5. Cooking gas
This is probably dangerous but some pregnant women love the smell of gas. It somehow fulfills their cravings.

6. Tuna with peach yogurt
Mix some peach yogurt with tuna…and that’s it. Some women love to eat that as breakfast when they are pregnant.

7. Furniture polish
And you thought your milo on toast craving was weird?! 26 year-old British mum-to-be, has to eat the spray furniture polish at least three times a day! Seven-months pregnant, Emma Veness, has gone through three cans so far- despite her fears of harming her unborn baby girl. In an interview with the Sun UK, she said: ‘I can’t explain why I like it so much. I thnk it has a lot to do with the texture. I normally spray a bit on my fingers and lick it off or spray it on the duster and suck.’ Although she would like to give up her unusual obsession, she cannot seem to do so.

8. Pickled eggs and beets
Mix pickled eggs and beets for breakfast. No toast, no cheese. That’s how some pregnant ladies like it.

9. Alcohol and cigarettes
These are a danger to your baby if consumed while pregnant. But did you know that pregnant women crave for the smell of alcohol and cigarettes? Most of them don’t even drink or smoke before they got pregnant.

10. Tearing for onions

Scientists believe that the innate hunger for ice is due to an iron deficiency, often present in pregnant women. Treating the anemia can lessen ice craving consumption.
