Recipes to Increase Fertility

These traditional Chinese recipes are believed to increase fertility in both men and women.

These traditional Chinese recipes are suitable for both husband and wives.

Stir fried prawns and rice wine

This recipe increases fertility as well as boosts the immune system.

What you need:

400 grams prawns

250 grams rice wine

vegetable oil

spring onion

ginger (grate)

What you do:

1) Rinse and deshell prawns. Soak it in the rice wine for 10 minutes. Set aside.

2) Heat the oil and stir fry spring onion till fragrant. Add prawns and ginger. Stir fry till prawns are cooked. Add salt to taste

3) Serve with rice

Lotus root porridge

Besides increasing fertility, this recipe enhances vision in the foetus and development of brain cells

What you need

60 grams Huai Shan (sliced)

5 seeded black dates

3 shelled walnuts

50 grams lotus roots

What you do

1) Rinse Hui Shan, dates and walnuts. Add water and cook.

2) Stir in lotus root and bring to boil.

3) Serve

Abalone Soup with Cordyceps

This soup is high in protein and low in fats. It benefits the lungs, kidneys and helps with conception.

What you need

10 grams cordyceps

100 grams button mushroom

100 grams abalone

10 grams ham

5 grams rice wine

500 ml chicken stock water

salt to taste

What you do

1) Soak cordyceps in rice wine for two hours. Rinse

2) Slice mushrooms and ham

3) Boil chicken stock, add cordyceps, mushrooms, abalone and ham. Boil for 30 minutes. Season with salt

4) Serve
