Letterland is a successful phonics based system for teaching the English language with a history of over 30 years in the United Kingdom. Letterland was devised to help teachers explain the complexities of written English, with its many rules and even more exceptions, in a child-friendly way.

 In this workshop you will learn:

  • the friendly characters of Letterland
  • the correct sounds each character (letter) makes
  • to create your own Letterland teaching aids for use at home
  • how to plan home activities on Letterland for your young ones
  • to reinforce learning at home

Facilitator Profile
Ruzita Mohamad holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and has been a preschool teacher for 16 years. She has taught children aged 3 to 6 and dedicated most of her time preparing K2 children for primary school. Ruzita believes children can excel and develop to their fullest potential if they are exposed to a variety of rich experiences within a nurturing environment.
