Grandfather, 75, rapes child and took pictures of abuse

A 75-year-old tycoon in Malaysia has been raping his own 10-year-old grandchild for two years. He is also suspected of being a serial paedophile. Recently, there was a case of another 75-year-old teacher who masturbated in front of his students for the past 10-years. Who would have thought that these old men would have such a high and deviant sex-drive at such an age?

The abuse surfaces

The alleged abuse only surfaced when the 10-year-old girl as admitted to a private hospital. She was admitted for appendicitis. After surgery, her grandfather came to pay her a visit. When hospital staff told her that her grandfather was there to see her, she threw a fit because she was fearful and upset. The doctor then intervened and interviewed the girl, suspecting that something wasn’t right.

It was then that the little girl disclosed the fact that she had been raped by her grandfather and has been sexually abused for the past two years. The abuse took place every time her mother left her at the luxury apartment of the granddad. A report was then lodged by the doctor at Pantai Police Station.

In the beginning, the doctor’s report to the police caused the mother to be upset but was slightly appeased when hospital authorities claimed that it was standard operating procedure when it came to child abuse cases.

Apparently, this grandfather abused more than one child. Investigators also found out that the old man had the audacity to store pictures of himself in the process of abusing his grandchild. This would be the much-needed proof of his crime. A raid was carried out before the man was arrested– a desktop computer and the man’s hand phone was seized in the process.

Datuk Ku Chin Wah, City Criminal Investigation Department chief, revealed that video recordings of the man’s sexual activities were found on his hand phone. That’s not all; there were other photos in the seized computer of the tycoon performing sex acts on several young girls. Datuk Ku also stated that the tycoon is being investigated for “unnatural sex and outrage of modesty”. The case will be investigated under a special sexual abuse squad in Bukit Aman. Police will be continuing the trace of other victims of his abuse.

Signs of abuse in your child

Always be wary of the signs of child abuse in your kid. Abusers are more often than not, friends and family—people you least expect to betray your trust. If your child is not able to speak yet, then it is crucial that you look out for signs that may come in bruises, an unusual amount of scrapes, scratches and crying.

Trust the non-verbals of your child, for your child’s bodily cues never lie. If your child is usually chirpy and becomes spiritless for no apparent reason, talk to him or her. It is of utmost importance that you take your child to the doctor if you notice marks that spell foul play. Sexual abuse can have visible marks.

Abusers prey on vulnerable, neglected or troubled children—even children who are looking for some affection. If your child tells you about a sexual abuse, do NOT brush it off as an overactive imagination. Take your kid seriously and look into the matter.
