Daughter raped for 7 years while mum stayed silent

Almost everyone has a deep dark secret tucked away. But not everyone’s secret is as painful as this 13-year-old who had been raped by her stepdad ever since she was six. What’s worse is that her mother knew about it all along—making the whole situation an abomination.

The mum stays mum

Mummy reportedly knew what was going on behind the scenes all along for the past seven years. She even witnessed the incident once. What did she do about it? Absolutely nothing. Her inaction is utter nonsense– even a non-parent would report such an abuse to the right authorities.

Apparently the mother, in her own misguided opinion, felt like withholding this vital and distressing repeated rape would do her marriage more good than harm. She was selfish and allowed her daughter to suffer at the vulgar hands of the stepfather, just so that the “marriage” could be saved. Did it not cross her mind that this sort of man should be jailed? He is certainly not husband material!

What more—the little girl trusted that her mum can save her from this hell, so she complained to her mother. If and when the girl complained, she’d get a thorough scolding from her mum. When the girl refused her stepdad, she got a whooping and threats of physical abuse.

The secret exposed

One day the girl disclosed her situation to her religious teacher at school, who happened to be preaching about how daytime sex would invalidate the act of fasting.

Condoms were recovered when police officers raided the house. The Malaysian stepfather, on his third marriage and supposedly repentant, was sentenced to 15 years of jail after he pleaded guilty of the offence. Mohammed Mokhzani Mokhtar had his counsel plead for leniency due to alleged health issues including kidney failure, a heart ailment and diabetes.
