ECE Indonesia Intl Early Childhood Education Conference & ExhibitionThe Directorate of Early Childhood Education under the Ministry of National Education of Indonesia will be hosting the First Indonesia International Early Childhood Education (ECE) Conference & Exhibition 2009 on 19-20 November 2009 at the Pakuwon Golf and Country Club in Surabaya, Indonesia. The event is held in collaboration with The World Bank Group and international conference organiser, The Pinnacle Group International.

Early child education has been identified as key areas in the Ministry’s agenda for further development which has been deemed to be an important contributor towards Indonesia’s future.

The purpose of this event aims to increase the awareness of child education, raise the standard of child education in Indonesia as well as to provide exchange and business opportunities for local and international players to tap on the vast and expanding education sector in Indonesia.

The theme for this year’s event is: “Every Child Deserves A Better Future”. The conference will bring together leaders and educators from Asia’s education industry to hear speeches and presentations from the world’s greatest minds in child development for child education.

The guest of honour for the event will be the newly appointed Minister For National Education. Top international speakers confirmed for this event include: Professor Allan Snyder from the renowned Centre For The Mind in Sydney, Dr Larry Scripp, Founding Director, Center for Music in Education (CMIE) USA, Marilou Hyson, Senior Consultant, National Association For the Education of Young Children, Susan Whitaker, Director of Education, EtonHouse Education Centre and David Chiem, Founder, Chairman & Group CEO of MindChamps, Imeelia Ismail, Senior Vice President from the Cherie Hearts Group International and Ismail Ibrahim, CEO of Frist Learning & Training Centre.

Organisers are expecting about 700-1000 delegates from the region to attend. Running concurrently with the conference, will be an exhibition that showcases the top regional players in the early childhood education.

The organisers have reported that sponsors and exhibitors take up rate have been strong and some of the top names that are sponsoring the event include: MindChamps, Genius Minds, Cherie Hearts and AppleTree Pre-School.
