frip, you musn't let others influence your decision.

If you don't watch the abortion video, it means that you are making a decision without knowing the facts. Women should really be aware of what the full process is before making a major decision like this.

Look at photos of a 6 week foetus, a 12 week foetus, a 20 week foetus and actually understand what you are aborting.

A foetus at 6 weeks already has a heartbeat. A 20 week foetus is not a lump of cells, but a baby with fingers and toes.

The article did not mention that after two weeks you need to have a follow up check up at the clinic again.

Also, you don't have to watch the abortion video. You can close your eyes....

Hi helpful,

im just wondering.. Do we need parental consent when we go to private hospitals? N do you mind telling if this is recent? Because if its ages ago, maybe the rules have changes and that now there is a need for parental concern..
thanks!

dear Frip,

Would you consider giving baby up for adoption?. As far as I know, if you opted for adoption now, the couple who chose the baby wld bear gynea cost -all the way to delivery on top of the adoption sum, I think. A good friend of mine adopted 2 girls. They are 17&12 now, wonderful wonderful kids. You can choosing the adopter. Good to look out for those wt good value.

I'm 30 this year and am coming to my 11th week of pregnancy. When i announced pregnancy to my spouse, the first response was abortion. It also led to issues of financial difficulties of bringing up the child as he was only just employed. Also other difficulties i faced were my father being in a bad health condition and pregnancy at this stage, as mentioned by my mother, could be led to rumours. My FIL also brought in issues of having a baby in this year will lead my MIL to bad health. I am in a dilemma now and it's a very hurtful thing to think of abortion. I do not know what I can do. Am I really ready for it?

I accompanied a friend for abortion, and this is my recommendation:

1) Don't go to hospital, go to private doctor, it's more personal and not as over whelming
2) Charges are around $160 for consultation and ultrasound and bout $400 for the procedure. So have about $600 ready.
3) Go with a friend you trust and who can support you. Have your friend wait for you after the procedure with a bottle of water
4) The entire process is about 5 minutes and feels like a tummy ache. You might have to use the loo after the process.
5) Good luck and use this as a lesson to learn about safe sex!

Dear C,

wow, what a strong language you use on others as if you've never lied before. Anyway, I wrote 1 out of 50 "LATER" abortion has serious complications. LATER abortion means 16 weeks and above. Your stat 0.3% is for "ALL" abortion. Early abortion has lower complication, I agree. But I'm writing in respond to Yam's situation(by now should be 5 mth).

Anyway, if it makes you feel better by scolding ppl & calling them names here to justify your action, I'm fine wt it. I'm here to voice/genuine concern from my perspective/experience from medical point of view, not to argue wt you.
Take care

The risk of everything you discuss from sepsis to death is a super remote possibility. When you misrespresent the statistical probability of an event, that's called a lie. You're a liar.

0.3% of all abortion patients have a complication that requires a hospitalization.

The risk of death associated with abortion increases with the length of pregnancy, from one death for every one million abortions at or before eight weeks to one per 29,000 at 16–20 weeks—and one per 11,000 at 21 or more weeks.

The risk of death every single time you get into a car? 1 in 6,000.
