YES it is a fact that most of today's kids no longer afraid of their parents anymore... and yes it is the parents to be blamed to the largest amount of it... We are who our parents bring us up to be end of the day.. Other blames goes to these days unmonitored TV programmes, which is used by us parents resorting to comfort our children. If we can be half of how our parents and their parents were improvised towards archivements, we would have the same results in character... Parents Communication has taken a big wift in the past 2 decades, which pshyc people advising all sort of communication with children.. Honestly does these analysers have any idea what they are talking about? Were they successful in doing so as well, nobody knows but all we know is that its pretty understandable and sounds good. Honestly Parents are not friends, Parents are not buddies, PARENT are PARENTS.. Hindu believe in honoring devotion begins with MOTHER (Madha), FATHER (Pitha), TEACHER(Guru), and GOD(Daivam)...
Think about it, do you see any buddies in the list,...

The scariest thought in all this is that WE make our childrens future (character skills & attributes). So lets try our best not to screw it up....

Perhaps consider parent leadership for teens to emulate might be a good start. Working from within instead of playing the blame game.
