Female infanticide: India's Lost Girls

An estimated 100 million women are currently missing from this earth, according to a 2007 report by Plan International (a global child development agency). Unfortunately, female foeticide and infanticide are still very real problems contributing to this number. China and India are two of the biggest culprits, evidenced by their skewed male-female sex ratios. This video explores the Genocide of the Daughters in India and sheds light on the importance of creating global gender equality and a right to life for all.

How can anyone look into those eyes and think they don't matter? Thanks for helping to open our eyes to the foeticide in India.

When people play God, there will be horrible reprecussions. The idolization of boys as demi-gods have brought the destruction of many. When allowing nature to takes its course, there is a wonderful interplay of balance with male and female that humans can not compare. When tampering with it all on large scale, (that in turn affects individuals lives) nothing but harms can ensue. When people start realizing the worth and value of women are on par or at times superior, balance will prevail.

How upseting to know this is happening to asia. Where is the equality? At the end of the day, we are all God's children, who He loves so much and are precious in his eyes

As a Christian, I believe children is a gift from God. Whether the baby is a male or female, God has a reason for it and human will never understand why.

Don't hate these people who murdered their daughters but condemm their actions. Show them how God love them and how they should also love their baby regardless of their gender.

As a modern day Chinese working mum with 2 beautiful daughters, my mother in law treated me differently(from the rest of the other daughter in laws) because I do not have any sons.

It's a strange and perverted reality that won't change anytime soon. It is rather unfortunate that sexual discrimination extend far beyond just China and India.
